ILes Iles
Nous avons pris un bateau rapide et sommes arrivés aux magnifiques iles. C'était magnifique à part que nous avons marcher des kilomètres diraient certains. Il y avait des forts, des plages magnifiques. Comme d'habitude nous avons déjeuné sur l'herbe c'était très agréable. Les enfants vont bien et les familles d'accueil formidables. Elles font l'impossible pour vos enfants et certaines les gâtent de trop!! Si vous ne voyez pas vos enfants à chaque fois c'est parce que pour certaines sorties, ils ne sont pas tous là. D'autres refusent d'être pris en photo.

Nice
Nous avons pris le car puis le train puis le car et nous sommes arrivés à Nice.
A Nice, la pluie nous attendait ainsi que la maman de Stéphanie Lucciano. Nous avons été très bien reçu. Nous avons rencontré les correspondants des CE2 et visité les ruines romaines ainsi que le musée Matisse. C'était très intéressant et un jour idéal pour aller aux musées.

Thursday, april, 8th

Aujourd'hui les élèves sont allés faire une randonnée sportive en forêt sur les hauteur de Mandelieu. C'était spendide. Cet après-midi, classe!!

Wednesday, april 7th
Normalement aujourd'hui nous aurions dû faire du catamaran mais il y avait trop de vent alors l'activité a été annulée. Nous sommes allés visités les remparts de la vieille ville puis nous avons déjeuné sur la plage devant le palais des festivals. Ensuite nous avons pris le petit train qui nous a présenté la ville de Cannes. L'après-midi, nous sommes allés à la FNAC acheter des souvenirs (livres et cd). Il y avait beauoup de choix et n'avons pas eu assez de temps.

Tuesday, april 6th
Aujour'hui, il faisait encore très beau et les enfants sont allés à Antibes. Ils ont pris le bus puis ils sont arrivés au marché d'Antibes. Il y avait beaucoup de commerçants. Certains vendaient de la confiture "maison", d'autre du poisson frais et d'autres bien sûr du fromage. Anne Laure a failli pleurer de joie en voyant les étalages. Ensuite nous sommes allés visiter le port de plaisance. Il y avait des yatch magnifiques et incroyablement luxueux. Nous avons suivi des remparts puis nous avons déjeuné sur la plage et traversé la ville. Les élèves voulaient tout acheter mais Anne Laure et Jacky veillaient. Au retour, les élèves sont allés dans les classes avec leurs correspondants.
Tout va très bien, hier les enfants sont restés l'école à travailler (maths, français, anglais). Ils ont joué avec leurs camarades et continué de faire connaissance. L'après-midi a été difficile pour certains à cause du décalage horaire. Il fait toujours aussi beau. Pour le lunch, les enfants ont mng de la tartiflettre et c'était vraiment bon. Le matin, Rhonda est allée faire un tour à la boulangerie.....

Monday, april, 5th
Nous sommes TOUS bien arrivés diamanche. Tout le monde est en bonne santé. Il est 9:00 et les enfants sont déjà en classe avec Anne Laure. Nous sommes partis de San Diego et arrivés à Francfort sans aucun problème. Là, une gentille hôtesse nous a dit qu'il manquait une place.
Malgré tous nos efforts, il n'y a pas eu moyen et il fallait "abandonner" un élève (Maximilien). Jacky et Maximilien ont donc pris l'avion suivant et ont visité
l'aéroport gràce à un monsieur "spécial" qui nous avait été envoyé par le grand-père de Sophie Anderson.
Nous sommes même allés au restaurant des employés de l'aéroport gratuitement c'était très bon.
Les familles sont très gentilles et nous accueillent très bien. Le quartier est sympathique.
En ce moment chaque enfant raconte (par écrit) son arrivée dans la famille.

This morning, we hiked and climbed in the forest of Mandelieu. It was so BEAUTIFUL! We were at the top of the montain nd had a magnific view of the Cote d'Azur.

This afternoon, we are in class, the 4th graders are in Maths with Jacky and I am with the 5th graders in french.

Jeudi 7 avril
Normally today we should have practice catamaran but there was too much wind then the activity was cancelled. We visited the ramparts of the old city then we lunched on the beach in front of the Palais of the festivals. Then we travelled by the small train which presented the town of Cannes to us. The afternoon, we went to the FNAC to buy souvenirs (books and Cd). There was a lot of choice and we did not have enough time.

Mardi 6 avril

Today, it is very sunny, we went in Antibes by us. First, we have been on the provencal market. We saw a lot of different things, home-made jam, fresh fish and of course CHEESE. Anne-Laure was so happy to see all those shops. Then, we went on the pier for the rich people, we have seen so many yatches, they were huge. The, we had lunch on the beach and walked around the city. Of course, all the children wanted to buy everything but Anne-Laure and Jacky watched them. Right now, the kids are in their pen-pals' class for the last hour.
Every thing is fine. Yesterday for their first day, all the students leaved at school for working (mathematics, french and english). They still make connexion with their friends. The afternoon was a little bit difficult because of the jet flag. The weather is still perfect. For lunch they ate "tartiflette" and it was really good. On the morning, Rhonda went to the bakery to take a look....

Lundi 5 avril
We are ALL in Nice. Everybody is doing well. It is 9 a.m and the children are already in class.

We left from San Diego and we arrived in San Diego without any problem. However, in Franfurt, a nice hostess told us that one child was not booked on the plane. OUps.... We tried hard to find a solution but we had to abandonne one child at the airport. Jacky and Maximilien staid at the airport to take the next plane. A special man took care of us thanks to Sofie's grand dad and Max and Tcheky had a great tout in the airport. They even had a chance to eat at the staff restaurant.

Tha family are very nice and they welcome us so gently1
